I was confused by this for a moment.. and then it hit me. I wasn't thinking of summoned icicles from afar that drops on opponents... like the ones you mentioned that have been done to death. I clearly wasn't being descriptive enough.
I was thinking that Freeze would.. while in midair... CLAP his hands against each other with the ice energy thing.. and the impact between his two palms spews icicles around him or radially in front of him.. WHICH THEN drops down on people like hail.
HA! not so boring now, is it? I don't remember ANYONE doing anything even remotely as interesting as that. :P
and empty hong kong coliseum? awww... that doesn't sound very interesting. I wonder if I'm not getting it.

2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

Why would a special landing change the fire itrs?
But you could, instead of having it a two frame loop, count the frames and just give the last frame a state: 100.
Obviously you already thought of that, haha.
Also, is the empty coliseum the background that you used in one of your VERY first Julio demonstration videos?

most likely coz you require either state 18 or 19 to prevent yourself from getting torched by any burning corpses during the dash jump... and at the same time you require state 100 to get the custom land animation.
I'm thinking along the lines of invisible opointed triggers for the normal crouch to have an ik8 to react to. but that may cause a positioning nightmare. If I want to figure this out I'll probably need quite a bit of testing. :P

freeze is not the guy to first create big chunks of ice to only bury someone with them
all in mid air

Ooh.. I like the lights. But yea. I wish the GIF quality was better so I can see it more clearly.

Oh I guess that "minor change" is the dust animation? It looks like there are some particles slowly flying downwards.
Or is there even an animation? Haha, it's hard to make anything out with that GIF quality.

I like the dust idea very much (if it really is that, if it's not, then make it  )
And, although I think you don't care, there's one thing I noticed - the animation (?) of lights moves 1px down at some frames (?) and it kind of screw that animation. It's a very small thing, which you wouldn't notice in game, but if you want perfection you could fix it  (then again, it might be the gif quality  )

i guess it's because the loop isn't animated correctly here since it was too hard to make out - and then i just looped it with the breathing animations

hm... very funky naming there... I can actually imagine a lot of possibilities behind it.. is it just a different reaction when louis punches louis or is it about the metal weapons (aka amor parts)...or idk its so mystic.
You don't make very fancy stuff with sprites and all but still this project totally gives lf2 new air to breath, totally makes it live up as a new. (i mean I love the good ol' chars and you improve them in a way I always wanted to do it (though you have thought about a bit more than i did) )
can't wait for the next update.
