I like the new changes in LF2.
So LF2 will have music? selfmade music by starsky and marti, i mean.
And what is meant with the new game of them?

hm i have a question about the music
is it applied for each background, noted in the bg.dat?
maybe sth like:
name: Machina_Effectus
width: 1588 zboundary: 375 510
shadow: bg\sys\me\s.bmp shadowsize: 37 9
music: bg\sys\me\bgm.mp3
because if so then it could also include background sounds
like some noise of the crowd in HKC, birds in lion forest, fire in stanley prison, wind on the great wall, etc ...
and will it still be using wave format?

		lfempire: hello marti
 Marti: hi
 lfempire: a lil question
  about sound in bgs
  you use wavs?
and do you include it like this:
  name: Machina_Effectus
width: 1588 zboundary: 375 510
shadow: bg\sys\me\s.bmp shadowsize: 37 9
music: bg\sys\me\bgm.mp3
Marti: bgm is not attached in bg file
  1. background music is wma file
  2. background music is random is VS / Battle mode
  hm... sorry
background music is random is all modes except stage mode
stage mode's music is scripted in stage file

another question
the music script in stage mode - at what points will it allow to change/start to play music - per stage, substage or phase?

		lf-empire: hi marti
 Marti: hi
[...]
lf-empire: a question about music in stage:
the music script in stage mode - at what points will it allow to change/start to play music - per stage, substage or phase?
...and can it be stopped? You know, if you create a music-playing object, you won't be able to stop the music until it's done.
 Marti: phase
  cannot be stopped
  and you cannot add music
  music list is hardcoded
you can only modify the wma file
  but cannot add/remove wma file
  or rename it
lf-empire: ok
  another question:
where I think you'll say no
  but I can still ask
is there a way to change the game so you can set the background for stage in stage-
 .dat per stage?
and not like now in data.txt?
would allow it to create stories in stage
Marti: hm.... I think we will not make it.
  your guess is correct :{

		dang
if it cannot be stopped and gets changed per phase that would mean it might overlap or fade out to silence at times? (thats kinda what weve already got, xcept wav files are rather large)
only way i can think of such a music function to be sensible is having rather short and looping wma files (if it auto loops untill its changed it wont fade + short loops will make the change smooth due to overlapping)
