i am in fact using it
but the smoke is somewhat rare
look at the running gif - it only has one smoke particle during the run itself
the dash just happened to have none

now i know why you were asking
well there are 3 scenarios (there is no disabling or change in how the transformation works): - you are super quick (simultaneous DJA) - instant transform, no dash defend
- you are moderately quick (normal D+J+A) - transform during the 'crouch' of the dash defend (thus the dash defend is canceled - also you won't see rudolf getting down, just tilting forward a bit)
- you are surprisingly slow (D + J + A) - you perform the dash defend and transform as soon as you land
all of these feel pretty good

Actually is it possible to have a bounce attack when you're attacking from the back?
Can you turn around when Firen performs an ignited dash?

this is one of the very few instances where i have messed with the original
because normally john does not actually move during this animation
and thus would very abruptly shift back once he is done, which has always bugged me a lot

So is it also possible to start a normal firerun with D>J and then cancel it, but still keep running?
