Character: Tina
#1
Hello, everybody:D
I made a char named Tina.
She looks like Louis wearing armor.
Some moves are also the same.

Hope you like her:D

I have seen her in chinese forums, I am glad that someone making girly characters, that making more woman population, cheers.
But her face looks like she is suprised by something.
My opinion, nothing against, offensive, if you find this offensive, then pm me about that and we will make it clear.
Good luck.

hurray

I've been waiting for it ever since I saw an animation of her on the official forum a few days ago and not finding a download link
didn't expect to test her so soon
  • breathing/walking - only one arms seems to be moving way too much on both animations, looks a little weird
  • funny basic attacks - I really like them (run , jump and super attack)
  • D>A has quite a delay between her flat hand pushing the air and the attack hitting when the opponent is right in front of you (already visible in that gif)
  • D+J/A great counter - but a little sad that you are sacrificing the basic defense for it (D + turning)
  • D^J I really like how it differs from louis' version
  • D>J neat slow combo but
  • too much sliding without actually moving her legs on many attacks (punching, D^J and D>J)
  • DJA unexpected but awesome - why water? I think a character should focus only on one energy form
  • I'm not a fan of so many actually spoken voice sounds, it's a bit annoying

I have a suggestion for the DJA move:
scrap the water, keep the character animation
and then let her create a green energy bubble shield around her instead
make it consume mp as long as she keeps it up (in that hands down position - no movement)

it would probably look best if it consisted of two shield objects that are the same (left and right) that only exist for a frame but get created constantly
and if a character runs into it from left or right it shows a reflecting animation (itr kind 9 when hitting a character) but does not actually disappear like john's shield because she keeps spawning new ones

also why does this look so much better than your usual sprites? you should do everything with that quality

edit: I just noticed the D>A is also missing the hit sound when creating the palm - that way it sounds too silent/soft
and the D^J usually does have a ground hit animation and sound, right?

>>DJA
I will try.:D

>>also why does this look so much better than your usual sprites? you should do everything with that quality
When I finish all chars, I will re-draw some char low-quality
I spent a lot of time in this char than others, so quality is better:D

looking forward to more like that

I could go on and point out more things that can be improved but at some point I would become nit picky and you will surely notice a lot of things yourself while working on her
