main light source from the left , reflected light from the right
it makes some part of the nose darker cuz he get less light

That is the most importent thing indeed. It that detail will be changed, it's probably all good with the shoulder.


edit: shall we use Ariel if we can still use the face he made for Nino, or would someone like to do a retry?

We could also edit the original face pic for Nino of course, or use another concept face pic..

It's good to see some progress again :) I'd say it's a little bit too simplistic though (sorry, I hope I don't demotivate you with this :p ). Would be cool if it would look like there's quite some motion, as if he's doing the attack from running: very explosively

I haven't been all too active either. Just started working on Dennis again ^^

I just played your nino again to check how its origionally... It isnt from running but it takes a lot more time to charge in your version :/

hm I guess there is enough motion in the dash-move itself, it just doesnt look like it as it's standing in place in the gif, ingame it could be fine I think, should be tested tho :D

I guess we just have to try :) I think it's best to just keep the sprite the way it is for now and go on with other sprites first. Then, when we got a good amount of sprites, I'll make the data to see how it looks in game :)

Good progress :D

There's a few things that could make it better:
- the leg that he is standing on is moving too much, looks unstable
- The low kick looks somewhat unnatural to me
- The last kick is meant to send the opponent into the air almost horizontally in the original version, but that can be changed if you want.

D^A is mostly a move that works as a counter, and it can be followed up by DvA (the spinning kicks). You can leave them like they were in the original Nino, but you can also replace these moves with something you prefer, that would be alright :)

Edit: and maybe some movement of the mouth would be good, as you usually breath out pretty intensely when kicking.
