Hey kid, sorry for being harsh, but you should not take and repaint already egzisting details, use base, but please stop using all details, as long I can see that you cannot shade whitout any proper base. Now you are just claiming, but maybe instead of that try to be creative and make your own.

But try to make the shade softer and use more contrast especially in hair.
By the way, what are you using for spriting? And how much time do you usually spend for a sprite?

Everything but the pants lacks contrast in the shading. Make sure the lighting is appropriately noticeable.
Stance looks alright, keep at it. I'm sure you'll do fine. With each step comes improvement

I didn't touch your shading(form). I put more contrast in whole sprite and few folds on shorts and jacket to show more dynamic into the sprite. And why did you save sprite as .bmp ?? .png is fine.
...
And nope, I still don't know how to draw girl...how can you then...??
