voted for betitnogan...
liked the idea of higher res lf2 characters and that deep looked pretty decent, while chishio's woody sprite had a little too much going on and looked abit chaotic to me.
And it looks like things are going to be pretty close this time. fun stuff.
"I may devour the five continents, and swallow the three seas, but a body with neither wings, nor hands, nor feet, is powerless against the sky."
My stuff:
| sprites | frozen |
1) DO NOT PM ME
2) Go read up on anatomy and proportions online. (google is your best friend)
3) Go read up on pencil sketching-shading.
4) Practice by making FULL character sheets. (Refer to bases and references if you have to, occasionally try doing things from scratch. You have to mix both methods; bases and without.)
5) DO NOT be an arrogant, self-righteous prick when people try to give useful critiques, and ignore the ones who are flaming idiots. (Flaming them back makes you one of them.)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until you're happy, or you think you're good, then start sharing your knowledge with your fellow spriters.
7) Showcase your sprites. At first, do not be discouraged when you don't get any critiques, or lousy/generic critiques. Continue practicing and showcasing your work. With more sprites, it will be clearer what your strengths and weaknesses are, and people may be better able to give you better critique.
Lastly, if you think saying all this makes me an arrogant, self-righteous prick who is too selfish to share his knowledge...
Then I say you cannot recognise wisdom when I've just slapped you in the face with it. (Also, those steps are the same steps I used to get to where I am, I don't know any way else to truly learn.)
Unless you think its worth my time, go F*** yourselves. I'm not going to bother to even reply to PMs like "can you help me make this character?" anymore.

I voted for Timme1, dubbleD, Apoc and Alectric. Judging from the sprite only would have resulted in a slightly different vote, but those four sprites resembled the theme best and were decently done as well.

I voted for Siegvar, Apocalipsis, Gad and Trickityhouses.
Siegvar's sprite has an awesome stance, well done clothes and a good amount of detail, and still managing to be so simple.
Apocalipsis' has also got an awesome stance, as well as good clothes, and also two small adorable helpers. He could have added some glow from the helpers to Jan though...
Gad's sprite is just plain awesome: Just like Siegvar's sprite, it's an awesome stance and good amount of detail. It was brave to leave out some untextured areas, I must say. Even though it's not quiet as awesomely sprited as Siegvar's, it's got an awesome transformation sequence.
Trickityhouse's sprite is not too well sprited, and lacks glow from the hands, but the design is amazing! The colours go very well together, and it really looks like an EX version of Davis.
tl;dr: Siegvar's and Apocalipsi's sprites are awesome, Gad's sprite is not quiet as awesome but has an amazing transformation animation and Trickityhouse's sprite has a very good design even though it isn't sprited too well.
I did this to you for obvious reasons. You have just wasted a lot of time. Congratulations.

Siegvar, Alectric and Yinyin for having made awesome looking, LF2-styled sprites.

Version 1.02 out now!

Yeah, it is, indeed, subtle ;P
I think a more prominent glow would have been better, but yeah, at least you didn't go overboard with it which could have made the sprite look much weaker than with only a subtle glow xD
EDIT: Lol, this is very intense xP
