No you said that 3005 would go to frame 10/20/30 when it is hit.
It only goes to frame 10/20/30 when it is hit or hits state 3005 objects.

State 15 goes to frame 20 when it is hit by a state 3005 or state 3006 object.

You werent 100% wrong but not 100% right.
You got half of the problem.

I think my solution would be the best as it will also destroy other balls without destroying the lazer beam itself.

But sorry for slapping you.
Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.
One can learn a lot from reinventing wheels.
An unsound argument is not the same as an invalid one.
volatile in C++ does not mean thread-safe.
Do not make APIs unnecessarily asynchronous.
