[solved] PNG format
#1
Currently LF2.0 only supports bitmap images (.bmp).
Bmp images are an old format, are very heavy.
All who have a mod know that the amount of memory used is very high.

Question:
It is possible make LF2 2.0 uploading images .PNG?

Yes it is possible. If u have Rammichiel with you.:p Rammichiel made a patcher for 1.9c. I don't know if he made it for 2.0. Anyways unless u know Visual C++, u should just hope for a master hex editor to actually make a patcher or program that will insilate png's.

He didnt.

Also before using PNG's make shure it is really worth it. They use less harddisk space yes but uses way more ram which will result in slower gameplay.
Age ratings for movies and games (and similar) have never been a good idea.
One can learn a lot from reinventing wheels.
An unsound argument is not the same as an invalid one.
volatile in C++ does not mean thread-safe.
Do not make APIs unnecessarily asynchronous.
Make C++ operator > again
Trump is an idiot.

xxtomnyxx made 2.0 compatible with the dll rammichael reverse engineered (originally made by the SD team I believe). The problem is, he uses the num version, while all the dll(dll framework) stuff is based on the no num version. So unless someone converts it to the no num version, you will have to choose between pngs, or the dll(framework) :p.

Mini question:

With PNG images occupy less memory?

BMP: big files, average memory usage
PNG: smaller files, high memory usage

--> PNG has a longer loading time than BMP.
