[BG] Agni Cave
#1
Agni Cave

Width: 5000px
Parallax Scrolling: Yes
Animation: Yes
Dynamic Effects: No
Components: [ ] Ripped parts [ ] Ripped and new parts [ X ] All new parts
Battle Area: [ ] Small [ ] Medium [ X ] Large

Former Purgatory for the 1st bg contest. Scrapped the idea since it was more hell than heaven and changed his name to Agni Cave, since Agni is a fire deity according to wiki.

I kinda rushed it but I just wanted to release it as I lost motivation fast.

Oh, and it's not 100% from scratch since I had to use a base for the rock walls, it would take a week to do all them by myself.

Is it me, or is the cave all fuzzy and pixelated, like a *.jpg image? But, the screenshot is a *.gif file.........

The idea is excellent, and the implementation is excellent, but I guess you can improve the image quality a little bit (again, I may still be wrong about the screenshot, since I haven't downloaded yet).

4.5/5, good job. Would've been 5/5 had it better picture quality :D.

VV EDIT: VV W00T, never mind :D!!! 5/5. Perfect job :D!! Downloading.....

I always upload big images as .gif since otherwise it crash on imageshack.

You can check this image of the candles to check the quality, though:

Oh, and I suggest everyone to download it and check the parallax scrolling, since I tried something different and I don't know if it looks good.

Thanks ^^

@Alec
Tried to keep it as simple as I could (Since the basic idea is enough to fill it with little candles).
The only thing that should be added in the future should be some rocks in the lower part of the battle area and floor texture, but I guess I won't do it soon. Maybe some fancy statues but again, I'm trying to not overwork it.

(Btw, the rocks I said needed base were the ones at the back of the Bg, the ones that "move" with the camera. The ones where the candles are on are made by me, just wanted to point that out :p)

I'd say that is one of the few BG's that fits in with LF2 style(most are ripped from older games, and look pixelated - or contain 1 image which is taken off google).

I think the "nearest" candles scroll to much. After playing for 15 minutes I started getting dizzy, but that could be because I was concentrating on the background and not the chracters.

In fact it looks like it moves a lot if you stare at the back corridors. I tried looking at the front candles when fighting and that gave me a feel of a stretch and large corridor. When looking at the background it seems like the front ones moves a lot, but it's because the ones at the back are very very far.

Or maybe it's wrong and it could be fixed later :p

Oh noes, someone rated it 2! Damn, people has high standarts in these days xD

Edit: Btw, someone can send this to releases? Thanks ia.
