  • auto load files that a dat file loads (bmp header) and also apply the numbering and raster
  • show these to allow selecting a frames picture (drag and drop the little red square over the bmp raster -> changes the pic number of the currently selected frame)
  • show a graphics program like frame that displays the currently selected frame and all its points and areas
  • tools that allow editing or creating all these frame aspects:
  • basic selection to move/change areas/things
  • moving the image (changing the center/shadow)
  • creating a new bdy area
  • creating a new itr area
  • creating a new opoint
  • creating a new cpoint
  • creating a new bpoint
  • creating a new wpoint (allow selecting a default object to be displayed on the wpoint to test it)
  • maybe add a popup to specify further details when creating certain aspects (opoint: selecting which object to spawn and direction/speed/times; itr kind: effect: selecting what type of interaction this shall be; etc ...)
  • selectable checkers pattern background for easy viewing any type of sprite

This is excellent job and I will completly love and masturbate to it, when you add visual frame maker.

Ok my suggestion:
this may eat some Ram (I just guess) and work from you.

If you will do this visual editor you could make special addition for opoint and cpoint

for cpoint:
shows how does cpoint exactly look with (for example) bandit, and additionaly user can check cpoint for each character (user chooses ID and frame and program loads it from data.txt)

for opoint:
user chooses ID and frame -> program loads it from data.txt and sets it's sprites in visualisation

if you're planning on implementing click->drag to define areas, it'll be useful to have a zoom function
