I like that face!
I too like the overall idea and design of the chart itself, just that the yellow scarf is kinda invisible next to his yellow clothes. Also, the face's hair don't quite match the char's hair.

I must say, the scarf thingy looks quite different from the rest of the character with its outline and relatively poor shading. You could try adding something more cloth-like in there by putting some random highlights/shadows on the scarf. I wonder what kind of attacks he'll have....

He definitely should use his scarf for his moves because having something individualy like a long...very long scarf shouldnt be left as eyecandy...

Instead of making it entirely gold or yellow make it have some variety too much yellow/gold on him
or it doesn't have to be all colorful just something to contrast on him <like a little red somewhere or blue idk>
