Eyes are too big, now he looks cute and super good guy.
Round belly armor? Makes him look fat.
Also again, legs looks so long but nvm that.

Gotta disagree with the eyes. I think the fat eye brows, mad hair and general buff build make him look mean enough.
Agree with the armor - maybe he doesn't just look fat but actually is? :p
The long legs are most jarring to me - should be easily fixable by expanding the crotch down 1/2px.

Also I'm hyped for this.

I mean too big eyes, not eyebrows. To be specific, Iris part. It might be personal taste but it looks that way.

Other than that it's great

Yeah, I can see that too. Might be because we don't really have any characters without obscured eyes at that size. I'm totally fine with it here though. Did have lots of trouble with the iris of Celsius too as I experimented with his size being just a bit larger than normal. A larger iris looks even worse when you don't make it a dark colour and add detail - easily looks quite mad.

By the way, what kind of filter do you use or how do you make these pixel effects on sprites?

I am guessing that saving as .jpg format and applying .png format background color is not the case.

i think just using small amount of colors when saving will do the trick
